Mission

The Media and Journalism Alumni Association empowers alumni to support the UNC School of Media and Journalism today and into the future. Guided by a group of media industry leaders from across the nation, the MJAA harnesses the power of a diverse and talented graduate base to support student development, foster alumni connections and encourage giving to reinforce the School’s reputation as one of the nation’s elite programs.

Deepen your connection to the MJ-school, your fellow Tar Heels and your profession with fun and insightful events in select cities across the country.

MJ-school students meet with Tar Heel alumni at some of the top media organizations in the world through networking trips sponsored by the MJAA.

Alumni offer guidance and support to current students through a year-long mentorship program designed to enhance students' knowledge and broaden their networks.
