MJ Career Services Director Jay Eubank,

Would you like an inside look at making the transition from college to agency life? How about tips and advice about landing your first job from industry leaders in advertising, marketing and public relations?  Make plans now to attend doubleheader panels on Thursday, April 20, in the Freedom Forum Conference Center. Drop in or stay for the entire program — all are welcome. We want you to attend as much of these panels as possible, but realize schedules may not permit. With that in mind, come for as much as you can.

Panel I: “Transitioning to Agency Life” | 5-6 p.m.

The panel features employees from APCO Worldwide, including Caitlin Farhat (Morehead State grad), Megan Rauf (South Carolina grad), Kaleb Pittman (App State grad), Flynn Chapman (UNC grad), Nicole Monge (Elon grad) and Sabrina Hussain (UNC grad), who will give insight on what agency life is like after college and how to set yourself apart once you get there. Pizza will be served!

Panel II: “Tips and Advice for Landing Your First Job” | 6-8 p.m.

MJ-school adjunct professor Bruce Curran will host a panel of industry leaders, including Bill Colaianni, former VP of international marketing for Coke; Kathy Neal, former assistant secretary of commerce for North Carolina and former head of PR at the Terry Sanford Institute; John Newell, president of McKinney Advertising; Kim Walker, associate director of global health inequalities research at Duke; and Diane Robertson, a former member of the Democratic National Committee.
