The R.B. House Undergraduate Library welcomes you to join for the Spring 2019 SkillfUL technology workshop lineup. Registration is required. General computer skills are required, but you do not need specialized prior knowledge.

  • Register here for Introduction to Adobe for Graphic Design on Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 2-3 p.m.
    • IMPORTANT: In order to participate fully in the Adobe sessions, you MUST have an AdobeID prior to attendance. If you plan to use your own laptop, please download Adobe Creative Cloud, then install Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop. Visit the ITS Adobe webpage here for help.

DEADLINE: Hearst Journalism Awards (Sports Writing) submission January 29, 2019 (All day)

The Hearst Journalism Awards Writing Competition has five categories: Feature Writing, Enterprise Reporting, Sports Writing, Personality/Profile Writing and Breaking News Writing.

DEADLINE: 2019 Bloomberg-UNC-Berkeley Business Journalism Diversity Program application January 29, 2019 (All day)

Through the Bloomberg-UNC-Berkeley Business Journalism Diversity Program, students will have the opportunity to join one of two week-long programs that will show how business journalists report on what's most at stake in the economy, global stock and bond markets, government regulations and the job market. One program will be at the UNC School of Media and Journalism and one at the Graduate School of Journalism at UC Berkeley.

All costs to participants in the program, including lodging and transportation, will be covered.
